Officers say Funes Machada, 18, called 911 on Monday afternoon and remained on the phone until police arrived.

North Carolina Cop Body Slams A 15-Year Old Female High School Student!

The response by two police officers to a fight on Saturday at the Bridgewater Commons Mall is under an internal police investigation after video of the altercation shows the officers pinning a Black teenager to the ground and handcuffing him, while the white teen involved in the fight was allowed to sit on a couch.

The video, which was shared on Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, shows a white teen and a Black teen arguing before the fight breaks out. The Black teen can be heard saying â€œYou gotta stop right nowâ€� before the other teen points his finger in the other kidâ€™s face, according to the video, which has been viewed by NJ Advance Media.

The Black teen swats the hand away, then the white teen can be seen pushing him with both hands. The two teens traded blows, scuffled and fell over mall furniture before two Bridgewater police officers intervened. The white teen is seen over top of the Black teen, who is on the floor, when police pull them apart.

Each officer grabbed a teen. The Black teen was taken to the ground while the white teen was pulled to a couch, where he remained seated as both officers focused on the Black teen on the ground. Posted by Abdul

An estimated 36,800 people live with HIV in North Carolina, with approximately 3,400 unaware of their infection.

 
Congenital syphilis, a preventable type of syphilis passed from the mother to a child during pregnancy, has increased by 63 percent from 2015. OB-GYNs and hospitals are encouraged to review the North Carolina syphilis testing guidelines and test all pregnant women for syphilis at every trimester.
 

The number of people newly diagnosed with syphilis was similar in 2015 and 2016, offering hope that there might be an end to a trend of increasing diagnoses that started in 2013.
 

Young women between 15 and 24 years old have the highest number of reported chlamydia cases. Untreated chlamydia can lead to severe health outcomes, including pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility. Sexually active teens and young adults should be screened at least annually for chlamydia.
 

"Sexually transmitted diseases can affect anyone, so it's important to know how to protect yourself," said Jacquelyn Clymore, HIV/STD/Hepatitis Director in the Communicable Disease Branch of the North Carolina Division of Public Health. "We encourage individuals to have an open dialogue with their health-care provider about getting tested for sexually transmitted diseases and HIV." 

On the increase in HIV, Clymore notes that they've seen an increase of fewer than 100 cases in the past three years. She also explains that the 63 percent increase in congenital syphilis represents 11 cases in 2015 going up to 18 cases in 2016.

A black woman who was punched and tackled to the ground by two white Jacksonville policemen for filming the arrest of her husband claims the cops stole her phone with a recording on the incident, reports NewsJax4.

According to Kelli Wilson, she went down to a local convenience store to record the arrest of her husband and retrieve their car when she was assaulted by the two cops who demanded her name and told her to put her phone away and stop recording.
