There is a huge situation brewing in south florida between rapper Plies and a local "white" rapper by the name of 4 Pound aka K-Deezy. Now my inside informer tells me that local rapper 4 Pound attacked Plies with a song called (Im Hotter Than You) a response to Plies song (Who Hotter Than Me). My insider informed me that Plies had his manager Byron "B" Trice of (Slip-N-Slide Records & Big Gates Records) contact the label and rapper immediately after hearing the song and pleaded with them not to release the song.
Now I was wondering why Plies and his manager would be concerned about the song so I asked my insider what was the big concern all about. I learned that the local "white" rapper 4 Pound aka K-Deezy is signed to Hard Hat/Gorilla Muzik which was formerly signed under Slip-N-Slide Records and managed by none other than Plies very own manager Byron "B" Trice. They are best known for producing and writing two of Trina's hit records off her latest debut album (Still Da Baddest) Look Back At Me (feat. Killer Mike) & I Got A Bottle (feat. Missy Elliott) and are also Platinum awarded for working on Trick Daddy's (Thugs "R" Us) album. Apparently there was a major fall out between Hard Hat Productions and there former manager "B". I learned that after Hard Hat got out of their contract with Slip-N-Slide Records due to money issues, they started their own indie label known as Gorilla Muzik.
At that point in time, they were still signed and managed by "B". I was then informed that "B" had worked a deal with Hard Hat to be signed to Big Gates Records with Plies. Apparently they had several 3-way phone conversations with Plies older brother (Big Gates) while he's incarcerated and had a mutual agreement. It turns out that Plies decided he did not want to work with the label because they had a "white" rapper. I then learned that manager "B" told Hard Hat just wait until Plies brother (Big Gates) gets out of jail and then they would renegotiate. Well turns out that Hard Hat fired manager "B" short time after wards. Now I'm not exactly sure what sparked the initial attack on Plies, but its starting to get ugly. I'm told that Plies camp and manager "B" have made dozens off threatening phone calls, text messages and emails to Hard Hat/Gorilla Muzik. I've learned that Plies and his manager have been trying to "black ball" Hard Hat and artist 4 Pound. I've been informed that they have been calling club promoters and showing up to shows where rapper 4 Pound is scheduled to perform and threaten clubs and promoters not to let rapper 4 Pound perform. I'm told that Hard Hat and 4 Pound refuse to be intimidated and have been showing up to clubs with somewhere between 30 to 45 people in their entourage and making their presence known.
On a side note: Wow why would a big rapper like plies be concerned about a indie artist? Hmmm... We are sure we will be getting a email or a phone call from Slip-n-slide today."
