"I got a hit a total of 4 times. My helmet cam died and i made it down the mountain on my own. I was also hit in the side of my helmet and my eye pro was shot off of my face. We were doing overwatch on the village to recon and gather intel. I was point heading down the face of the hill with the LT. when we got hit. the rest of the squad was pinned down by machine gun fire. I didn't start the video until a few mins into the firefight for obvious reasons. I came out into the open to draw fire so my squad could get to safety."

RENO, Nev. (News 4 & Fox 11) — The Reno Police Department (RPD) has released video footage of an officer-involved shooting that occurred in downtown Reno near Wingfield Park on Dec. 22, 2022.
 
According to RPD Deputy Chief Tom Robinson, at approximately 7:22 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, RPD officers responded to the Riverwalk on Sierra St. on reports of a subject armed with a gun. Additional 911 calls revealed that the suspect has two rifles, firing shots and people were running away.
 
Upon arrival, RPD Officers located the suspect by the river near the amphitheater while the bailiffs were shooting at him. The suspect fell to the ground, but would not cooperate with the officers and bailiffs and refused to show his hands. RPD said the suspect got up and ran just as the officers went to handcuff him.
 
Officers and bailiffs shot at the fleeing suspect due to concerns that he was still armed and that he posed an active threat to the safety of the people in the area. The suspect was handcuffed and transported to a local hospital, no other injuries were reported.
 
The suspect was later identified as 22-year-old, Emmanuel Flores-Saldana. Investigation confirmed that Flores-Saldana fired 17 shots using a stolen AR-15 rifle and a shotgun, which he obtained hours prior to the incident. Posted By Ghost

"As much of the country follows the Trayvon Martin 
case, activists in Chicago are hoping to bring 
some of that attention to Howard Morgan, a former 
Chicago police officer who was shot 28 times by 
white officers -- and lived to tell his side of 
the story.

Morgan was off-duty as a detective for the 
Burlington Northern Santa Fe railroad when he was 
pulled over for driving the wrong way on a one-way 
street on Feb 21, 2005, the Chicago Sun-Times 
reports. While both police and Morgan agree on 
that much, what happened next is a mystery.

According to police, Morgan opened fire with his 
service weapon when officers tried to arrest him, 
which caused them to shoot him 28 times. His 
family, however, very much doubts those claims.

“Four white officers and one black Burlington 
Northern Santa Fe Railroad police man with his 
weapon on him — around the corner from our home — 
and he just decided to go crazy? No. That’s 
ludicrous,” Morgan's wife, Rosalind Morgan, told 
the Sun-Times.

She was not the only person to doubt CPD's side of 
the story. A Change.org petition signed by more 
than 2,600 people called for all charges against 
Morgan to be dropped, and now Occupy Chicago is

A man in India was stabbed in the neck with a 150-year-old trident â€” yet apparently felt no pain. Bhaskar Ram, 33, was impaled by the ancient 1Â½-foot weapon during a fight with two men at his workplace in Kalyani on Nov. 28. After being rushed to the hospital, Ram told the doctors he felt no pain. Pictures and video show an oddly calm Ram with the trident sticking out of his neck. Ram was transferred to a hospital in West Bengal in order to receive specialized treatment for his injury. 

While the trident went straight through Ramâ€™s neck, it somehow did not sever any veins or arteries. According to the doctor, only traces of blood were found outside Ramâ€™s mouth. â€œNone of the vital structures were injured as the rod had miraculously missed the vital organs that included the carotid, internal jugular vein, trachea, esophagus, larynx, vertebra and the spinal cord,â€� Banerjee said.
