Ryun Coleman is a deepsea fisherman and for the past few years, he's worked hard to capture video evidence of mermaids while out at sea. 
 
One night while out in the open waters, Coleman began filming what appeared to him to be two mermaids swimming alongside his fishing boat. He records the video with his cellphone and pans from the port side to the starboard, capturing two creatures in the water swimming at pace with his vessel. 
 
The 90-second video is accompanied by sounds that almost sound like songs, which appear to be coming from the water below. Legend says that mermaids, or sirens would lure fishermen into their clutches by singing them songs.
 
At one moment in the video, Coleman reminds himself to "not get too close to the edge." 
 
While his videos are in no way proof of mermaids (duh) they are pretty convincing, to those of us who want to believe. Posted By Ghost

9 Brits and 1 American on a guided tour of the Tian Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan. Weâ€™d just reached the highest point in the trek and I separated from the group to take pictures on top of a hill/cliff edge. While I was taking pictures I heard the sound of deep ice cracking behind me. This is where the video starts. Iâ€™d been there for a few minutes already so I knew there was a spot for shelter right next to me. I was on a cliff edge, so I could only run away from the shelter (hence why I donâ€™t move). Yes I left it to the last second to move, and yes I know it would have been safer moving to the shelter straight away. Iâ€™m very aware that I took a big risk. I felt in control, but regardless, when the snow started coming over and it got dark / harder to breath, I was bricking it and thought I might die.

Behind the rock it was like being inside a blizzard. Once it was over the adrenaline rush hit me hard. I was only covered in a small layer of snow, without a scratch. When I re-joined the group I could see they were all safe, although one had cut her knee quite badly (she rode one of the horses to the nearest medical facility). Another had fallen off a horse and sustained some light bruising.

The whole group was laughing and crying, happy to be alive (including the girl who cut her knee). It was only later we realised just how lucky weâ€™d been. If we had walked 5 minutes further on our trek, we would all be dead. The trail we were suppose to take went right through the path of avalanche. We traversed it afterwards, walking among massive ice boulders and rocks that had been thrown much further than we could have run, even if we acted immediately. To make it worse, the path runs alongside a low ridge, hiding the mountain from view, so we would have only heard the roar before lights out. Posted By Ghost

BROWN DEER, Wis. - Police said three people are dead â€“ including the suspect â€“ after a shooting at an apartment complex Saturday morning, Feb. 5. 
 
Brown Deer Police Chief Peter Nimmer identified the suspect as a 26-year-old man who lived at the apartment complex. The suspect died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
 
A 31-year-old man and 23-year-old woman were shot and killed during the incident, according to police. A 36-year-old man was also shot in the leg and injured; he is expected to survive.
 
Nimmer said officers were called shortly after 10 a.m. for a shots fired report near Brown Deer Road and Park Plaza Court. Upon arrival, Nimmer said, the suspect fired shots toward officers from a second-story balcony.
 
While a squad car was hit, no officers or K-9s were struck or injured. No law enforcement officers from any responding agency returned fire. Posted By Ghost
