Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, paramedics were called to a house in Los Angeles around 4 PM for a medical emergency and when they got there they pronounced Coolio dead. Apparently a friend called EMTs, who arrived and pronounced Coolio dead on the scene. The paramedics suspect he suffered cardiac arrest. An official cause of death has not been determined. A suspected carjacker died in a hail of police gunfire after allegedly stealing three cars and leading cops on a high-speed chase through Seattle.

Police were "piecing together the trail of a 35-year-old violent felon after he brandished two handguns at several downtown businesses Sunday" and fired on officers before the "fatal confrontation" with police, according to a Seattle Police Department statement. Posted By Abdul

Seattle Carjacker Dies in Hail of Bullets After Police Chase!

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Shootings across the city of Chicago this past weekend have left seven people dead and another 52 people wounded.
 
One of the most recent shootings occurred in the city's Austin neighborhood. Investigators placed down several evidence markers Sunday night on Bloomingdale Avenue near Central Avenue. That's where police said two men walked up to another man sitting in a parked car and started shooting.
 
The 21-year-old man was shot twice and rushed to the hospital where he later died. Another woman was injured, but was treated and released.
 
The shooting was one of multiple that took place over the past weekend, including two mass shootings in one police district.
 
One, a drive-by in Douglas Park that wounded seven people and another in the 1800-block of South Kildare Avenue where one person died and eight others injured. Posted By Ghost

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Anthony Davis scored a franchise-record 59 points and pulled down 20 rebounds as the New Orleans Pelicans beat the Detroit Pistons 111-106 on Sunday.
 
The previous club record was 50 points by Jamal Mashburn exactly 13 years earlier against the Grizzlies. Davis went 24 of 34 from the floor and made his only two 3-pointers. He added nine free throws in 10 tries.
 
Davis had 19 points in the fourth quarter and broke the scoring record for the Palace of Auburn Hills, set by LeBron James with 48 points in an Eastern Conference finals game on June 1, 2007.
