The story of Aaron Pryor and Alexis Arguello's infamous fight on November 12, 1982, is shrouded in mystery and controversy, largely due to the "black bottle" incident. Pryor, a dynamic and aggressive fighter, was facing Arguello, a highly respected and skilled boxer, in a bout that promised excitement and intense competition.
 
As the fight progressed, both boxers displayed remarkable skill and determination. The turning point came between the 13th and 14th rounds. During a break, Pryor's trainer, Panama Lewis, was heard requesting a specific bottle, referred to as "the one I mixed." Pryor then drank from this black bottle, and when he returned to the ring, his energy seemed to surge inexplicably.
 
Pryor launched a relentless assault on Arguello in the 14th round, ultimately knocking him out and securing a dramatic victory. The nature of the bottle's contents became a subject of speculation and controversy. Some suspected it contained illegal stimulants, though this was never proven. The lack of concrete evidence meant no official action was taken against Pryor or his team.
 
Pryor's trainer Panama Lewis later lost his license for removing padding from Luis Resto's gloves before his fight with Billy Collins Jr. In a 2009 documentary, Luis Resto, a former boxer trained by Panama Lewis, disclosed that Lewis used to break apart antihistamine pills and mix the medicine into his water. This practice reportedly enhanced his lung capacity during the later rounds of a fight. Resto's revelation sparked further speculation about whether Lewis had introduced an unauthorized substance into Pryor's water during his bout with Arguello.
 
The incident added an aura of intrigue to what was already a legendary fight, leading to years of debate and discussion among boxing fans and historians. Despite the controversy, Pryor's victory and the dramatic nature of the fight cemented its place in boxing history.

Helicopter Destroys Itself During Take Off!

On February 9, 2021, around 4:30 p.m., uniformed Southeast Patrol Division officers conducted a traffic stop for an equipment violation in the northwest parking lot at Manchester Avenue and Figueroa Street. The driver officer stopped their patrol vehicle adjacent to the driver's door of the suspect's vehicle. The officers exited their vehicle and began giving commands to the driver. 
 
The driver officer ordered the suspect to turn off the ignition, however, the driver did not comply. The driver accelerated the vehicle towards the partner officer who was standing at the front of the vehicle. The partner officer ordered the suspect to stop, however, the suspect continued driving towards him and an Officer-Involved Shooting occurred. 
 
The suspect fled the scene in his vehicle. An air unit followed the suspect's vehicle to a shopping center parking lot at Imperial Highway and Crenshaw Boulevard in the city of Inglewood. The suspect exited the vehicle and entered a nearby store. Officers searched the store, however, they were unable to locate the suspect. A review of surveillance video showed that the suspect changed clothing inside the store and escaped prior to the search. 
 
No officers were injured during the incident and it does not appear the suspect was struck by gunfire. Posted by JR

U.S. European Command has released dramatic declassified video taken by the MQ-9 Reaper drone that shows the moment that a Russian Su-27 fighter jet collided with it after attempting to spray the drone with jet fuel.
 
The video was taken from a camera on the droneâ€™s underside and shows two different passes taken by the jets to spray the drone, the second one being the collision with the propeller at the rear of the drone, which is visible in the footage.
 
Communications were lost with the drone as the image can be seen pixelating into color bars.
 
EUCOM also confirmed that communications with the drone were down for a minute and that the released video was edited for time.
