Over the past several days, Trump has told African American voters that they might as well pull the lever for him because they’re living in squalor and couldn’t possibly be doing any worse than how they’re doing right now. CNN’s Gary Tuchman went out and talked to several African American voters in Akron, Ohio and found that most of them were decidedly unimpressed by his overtures. “I think he’s stupid,” said one voter when asked to respond to Trump telling black voters they have nothing to lose by voting for him.
