Wausau Police have released dashcam video showing a short pursuit from last week. Police say they were called to an apartment complex after a reported break-in on New Year's Day. 32-year-old suspect Joshua Whiting took off in his car before police arrived. The pursuit ended just a few minutes later after Joshua lost control and crashed into an electrical transformer, knocking out power for the whole block. The suspect removed the taser probes, started the vehicle, drove down a grassy median, over a retaining wall, and landed on the eastbound I-70 off-ramp to westbound Highway 6 toward Golden. . Deputy Wesley Blum pulled over Brittany Brown, 27, of DeLand, and Harry Marrison, 40, of DeBary, Wednesday night on Circle Drive in DeLand. Blum pulled over the pickup truck because the tag number was registered to a different vehicle, investigators said. Blum said on several occasions, Marrison tried to get out of the vehicle after the deputy told him not to do so, Marrison got of the vehicle, and the deputy used his Taser, but Marrison continued running. Blum used his ASP baton to stop Marrison, but that also didnâ€™t work. A routine traffic stop Saturday turned violent and later resulted in an eight-hour manhunt for a man who dragged a Florida deputy. when the deputy asked about smelling marijuana, the suspect got combative and started to drive off. Video shows a suspect being hit while trying to run from officers. Tuesday, police spotted a car that fled from officers the previous day and tried to stop the vehicle. The car sped away again and the chase was all captured on police dash cameras. The driver jumped from the car and ran along Gettysburg Avenue. Police said the suspect, Brandom Lamar Mann, ran in front of the police cruiser, at which point he was hit. Mann was taken to the hospital after the collision, before being booked into Montgomery County Jail on failure to comply, resisting arrest and obstruction of official business charges.
