Andrew Tate and his brother Tristanâ€™s home was raided by Romanian authorities, specifically the Directorate for the Investigation of Organized Crime and Terrorism, on the morning of 29 December, reports Romanian media and the two have reportedly been taken into custody. 
 
A December 29 report, initially from Romanian outlet Libertatea claimed that Andrew Tateâ€™s home in Pipera had been raided by Romanian police in relation to the abduction of two girls. Now, Tate and his brother have both been taken into custody.

"A Romanian court has upheld the decision to extend the detention of former kickboxer and misogynist social media influencer Andrew Tate on charges of human trafficking, rape, and being part of an organized crime group, according to The Associated Press. The judge had previously approved a request from Romanian authorities to extend his detention from 24 hours to 30 days.

Tate, who's known for promoting hate speech and misogyny online to his millions of social media followers, was detained in Romania on December 29 alongside his brother and two other suspects.

All four suspects had appealed the judge's extension, which was granted due to the possibility that they could "leave Romania and settle in countries that do not allow extradition."

With the extension upheld, prosecutors can now request a further extension of the detention to up to 180 days.

Tate and his associates allegedly formed the organized crime group in Romania in early 2021 with "a view to committing" human trafficking in Romania, the U.S. and U.K. in order to "obtain important financial benefits," prosecutors said when the group was detained. They had been under criminal investigation in Romania since April." - CBSNEWS

US rapper Wiz Khalifa has been charged with illegal drug possession after performing at a seaside festival in Romania, where he allegedly consumed cannabis on stage, prosecutors said Sunday. The hip-hop star was headlining at the “Beach, Please!” festival in the Romanian village of Costinesti on the shore of the Black Sea, when he got caught with the drug early on Sunday, prosecutors say. Cannabis is considered a “risk drug” in Romania, and possession is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Videos posted on social media show the rapper being escorted from the venue by Romanian authorities. “During a performance at a music festival held in the resort of Costinesti, the accused was found to have possessed more than 18 grams of cannabis and to have consumed (on stage) another quantity in the form of a handmade cigarette,” Romanian anti-organised crime prosecutors said in a statement on Sunday.|| Posted by CZ
