A North Carolina air traffic controller was arrested Friday for allegedly having a weapon of mass destruction. Last week, police received a 911 call that someone had a homemade explosive at a Charlotte home. When officers arrived, they found a homemade pipe bomb. Investigators said another man, 39-year-old Derrick Fells, built the bomb to "use it against a neighbor with whom he was involved in an ongoing dispute." The father of one of the victim's of Wednesday's deadly mass shooting in Florida gave a heartfelt speech about his 14-year-old daughter who was killed. Jamie Guttenberg, a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, was killed when suspected shooter Nikolas Cruz, 19, opened fire with an AR-15-styled semiautomatic rifle near the end of the school day. Guttenberg's brother, Jesse, made it home safe from school that night. Her parents, Fred and Jennifer Guttenberg, were reportedly notified of her death on Wednesday evening. R.I.P. To All Victims. Wildin: The True Cause Of Mass Shootings!

Police said there may be multiple victims in an active-shooting situation in San Bernardino Wednesday. Sources tell Eyewitness News that up to 12 people were killed.



The shooting took place at the Inland Regional Center, a nonprofit that works with individuals with developmental disabilities, at 1365 S. Waterman Avenue. The complex is comprised of three buildings. Sgt. Vicki Cervantes with San Bernardino police said the shooting occurred during some type of scheduled event at the facility.

Inland Regional Center employee Brandon Hunt told Eyewitness News that he believes the shooting took place in the building with the facility's main auditorium, where a banquet of some sort was being held. He said the auditorium is regularly rented out to outside agencies. Hunt said approximately 550 people typically work at the facility at any given day.
