ORLA T.X.(KRQE) â€“ Two people are injured after a major explosion at a gas plant just outside the state line in Texas.

First responders say thatâ€™s itâ€™s a miracle everyone is okay with an explosion that big.

It happened around 9:30 Thursday morning at the Ramsey Natural Gas Processing Plant just about 5 miles past the border near Orla, Texas.

Witnesses say they could see the explosion for miles.

An eyewitness says he was about half a mile away when he saw a huge ball of fire coming right towards him and that the heat from the fire was intense.

Officials say there were no fatalities and only two workers suffered what they classify as non-life threatening injuries but they would not elaborate.

A massive explosion ripped through the Lebanese capital Beirut on Tuesday, injuring many people and blowing out windows in buildings across the city.
 
The source of the explosion was initially believed to be a major fire at a warehouse for firecrackers near the port in Beirut, the state-run National News Agency reported.
The blast sent up a huge mushroom cloud-like shockwave and damaged buildings miles from the port, including the headquarters of former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and CNN's bureau in downtown Beirut.
 
It comes at a sensitive time, ahead of the verdict in a trial over the killing of ex-PM Rafik Hariri in 2005.
 
A UN tribunal is due to issue its verdict in the trial of four suspects in the murder by car bomb of Hariri on Friday.
 
There was a lot of nitrate ammunium and chemicals in one of the biggest buildings of the port. The chemicals were there for years found in an abandoned ship in the sea next to the port. 6months ago the government checked it again, experts said they should get rid of it as soon as possible, they reported that many people will die and beirut city will be destroyed if not taken care of. The government didn't listen, this is the result. 
 
The interior ministry said that ammonium nitrate was stored there and it's what caused the massive explosion.

A 19-year-old man suffered a serious injury to his left foot in Central Park on Sunday, New York City police said. The manâ€™s friends told authorities he had stepped on something that exploded. Authorities said the man had been in the park at about 11am. Police said witnesses told them the man had just stepped on to a rock when an explosion occurred. People in the area said an explosion was heard blocks away. The New York fire department said the man sustained a major injury, possibly an amputation, and was taken to a hospital. A roadside explosion in Caracas has left seven members of the Venezuelan National Guard severely injured, reported VTV President Ernesto Villegas.
 

The explosion took place in Altamira, a neighborhood of the Chacao municipality of Caracas.
 
Footage of the explosion shows at least two motorcyclists thrown in the air from the impact of the blast. 
 
This latest attack comes a day after campaigning for the National Constituent Assembly opened across Venezuela.
