A Houston worker allegedly found a full human skeleton in a space behind his client's house on Peach Creek Drive.  Houston police confirmed over the weekend that the remains belonged to Miranda Rodriguez, a 24-year-old woman who was first reported missing in August 2017, just before Hurricane Harvey flooded large swaths of Houston. A December 29 report, initially from Romanian outlet Libertatea claimed that Andrew Tateâ€™s home in Pipera had been raided by Romanian police in relation to the abduction of two girls. Now, Tate and his brother have both been taken into custody.

A baby shark with a human face baffled fisherman after it was caught off the coast of Indonesia. The mutant creature was landed by Abdullah Nuren, 48, after he set off from Rote Ndao in East Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday February 21. He said he pulled in an adult shark and when cut open its stomach, there were three pups inside. One of them had a distinctive appearance with two large round eyes underneath its nose like the Baby Shark cartoon character.

In January 2024, 17-year-old Ikea Imari Hood, a junior at Lancaster High School and member of the Tigerette Drill Team, was tragically shot and killed in her Southeast Oak Cliff home in Dallas, Texas. Just three weeks prior, she had given birth to a baby girl. Authorities arrested her on-again-off-again boyfriend, 17-year-old Trevon Darnell Wright, in connection with her death. 


According to the arrest affidavit, Hood had recently discovered that Wright was not the biological father of her newborn and intended to inform him on the day of the incident. Hood's mother reported hearing a loud noise from her daughter's room, and upon investigation, found Hood with a fatal gunshot wound and Wright absent from the scene. 


Following his arrest by the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Wright was charged with first-degree murder. In January 2025, after a trial that included emotional testimonies from Hood's family, Wright was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.
