Man With Down Syndrome Competes In A Bodybuilding Competition!
Collin Clarke showcased his skills and placed fifth in his class at the Kentucky Muscle Competition in Louisville, Kentucky.
One year ago, he was overweight and depressed and now the 22-year-old is a competition bodybuilder.
“We’ve always been really close with Collin, he's such a great kid. But to see this transformation in his physique, it's so great for his health. He’s just done such an outstanding job,†said Tammi Hargett, Collin’s neighbor.
Collin's coach, Glenn Ubelhor, says Collin has made an awe-inspiring transformation.
“The improvements in his cognitive abilities, his social skills, his diction has improved. And a lot of people have the misconception that bodybuilding is done out of vanity, or it’s self-serving, Collin has proved that is not the case,†said Glenn.
Collin says his bodybuilding career is far from over.
"I'm gonna keep on bodybuilding. It's my dream. In a long time, the Arnold Classic. I'll keep on doing this," said Collin.
Collin also went home with the "Most Inspirational" prize.
