Police are hunting for a man who forced a 12-year-old girl into a Bronx alley and raped her Tuesday. Authorities say the victim was walking in the vicinity of East Tremont Avenue and Southern Boulevard at about 6:30 p.m. when the suspect walked up to her, grabbed her arm and threatened to kill her if she screamed. The suspect attempted to enter 2 buildings on East 179th Street with the girl, but the doors were locked. The suspect then forced the victim into an alley on the side of a building on Daly Avenue where he raped her. The little girl fled the alley, and the suspect ran in the opposite direction. Police say the suspect is a dark skinned male in his early to mid-teens and is 5’2″ tall and he did not know the victim. According to police, it was a random incident on the street. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
