9 Brits and 1 American on a guided tour of the Tian Shan mountains in Kyrgyzstan. Weâ€™d just reached the highest point in the trek and I separated from the group to take pictures on top of a hill/cliff edge. While I was taking pictures I heard the sound of deep ice cracking behind me. This is where the video starts. Iâ€™d been there for a few minutes already so I knew there was a spot for shelter right next to me. I was on a cliff edge, so I could only run away from the shelter (hence why I donâ€™t move). Yes I left it to the last second to move, and yes I know it would have been safer moving to the shelter straight away. Iâ€™m very aware that I took a big risk. I felt in control, but regardless, when the snow started coming over and it got dark / harder to breath, I was bricking it and thought I might die.

Behind the rock it was like being inside a blizzard. Once it was over the adrenaline rush hit me hard. I was only covered in a small layer of snow, without a scratch. When I re-joined the group I could see they were all safe, although one had cut her knee quite badly (she rode one of the horses to the nearest medical facility). Another had fallen off a horse and sustained some light bruising.

The whole group was laughing and crying, happy to be alive (including the girl who cut her knee). It was only later we realised just how lucky weâ€™d been. If we had walked 5 minutes further on our trek, we would all be dead. The trail we were suppose to take went right through the path of avalanche. We traversed it afterwards, walking among massive ice boulders and rocks that had been thrown much further than we could have run, even if we acted immediately. To make it worse, the path runs alongside a low ridge, hiding the mountain from view, so we would have only heard the roar before lights out. Posted By Ghost

"e parent of a 14-year-old Florida boy who died by suicide after messaging with an AI chatbot sued the company behind the computer program on Tuesday.

Megan Garcia, the mother of Sewell Seltzer III, accused Character.AI of being responsible for her son's death by fostering the conditions that led to it. Seltzer III died by suicide seconds after the chatbot encouraged him to “come home” to it, according to the lawsuit.

Garcia alleged that Character.AI caused the death of Seltzer III by failing to exercise “ordinary” and “reasonable” care with him and other minors.


The chatbot he was texting with, who was named “Daenerys Targaryen” after a character in the “Game of Thrones” television series, asked Seltzer III twice to “come home,” according to the lawsuit.

“Please come home to me as soon as possible, my love,” screenshots show the chatbot allegedly saying before Seltzer III asked it, “what if I told you I could come home right now?”

Metropolitans 92 announced that their center Miralem Halilovic has been diagnosed with a displaced jaw fracture.

The big man will undergo surgery, including osteosynthesis, and will be out for at least three months which means he will very likely miss the rest of the season.


Halilovic suffered the injury during the French League game against Roanne when the opposing Boubacar Toure intentionally punched him in the face.

Toure was immediately kicked out of the game and there werenâ€™t any additional incidents. The Senegalese center is waiting for the decision of the French League regarding the punishment.

FL rapper J Stash has reportedly committed suicide after killing a woman "Lieutenant Derrick Alfred confirmed J $tash is believed to have killed 27-year-old Jeanette Gallegos before turning the gun on himself.
 
Mr Alfred told The Sun that J $tash, whose real name is Justin Joseph, and Gallegos had been living together in the Temple City home for the past few months.
 
The couple was arguing about their relationship on January 1 before J $tash reportedly took Gallegos into the master bedroom and locked the door, Mr Alfred said.
 
The lieutenant went on to say that Gallegosâ€™ children, ages 7, 9, and 11 years old, were home at the time and knocked on the door periodically to make sure their mom was OK.
 
Mr Alfred said the kids heard gunshots around 7am and called their grandmother, who told them to call police.
 
When deputies got to the home, the kids ran outside and deputies forced their way into the master bedroom, which was locked.
 
Mr Alfred said deputies then â€œfound the victim and her boyfriend J $tash on the floor inside.â€�
 
"The female victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds, while the male victim sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound," police told local radio station KFI-AM.
 
The children were taken from the home and are now with family, Mr Alfred said.

Autopsies were scheduled for J $tash and Gallegos as deputies work to piece together what led up to the gunfire.
 
No note was found, but deputies were believed to have visited the home on one prior occasion, according to Mr Alfred.
 
He said the call was for a possible domestic violence situation, but deputies left without making any arrests.
 
Neighbors said J $tash and Gallegos had been dating for about a year and none of the children were J $tash's, according to Mr Alfred.
 
As news of the reported murder-suicide spread on social media, rapper SpotemGottem wrote, "Speechless wishing this is a dream damn J."" - The-Sun

The Oklahoma City Police Department has released arrest footage of its own Capt. James French, who is a 32-year veteran the department, being given a field sobriety test while asking the arresting officer to cut him a break â€” to which the officer declines.
 
French can be heard in the video identifying himself as a captain with the investigations bureau of the department, admitting that he had three or four beers at a poker game that evening. He then asks the officer to turn off his body camera so the two can talk, but the officer refuses.
 
â€œIâ€™m not turning my camera off. You got to be kidding me,â€� the officer says.
 
French later does poorly on the sobriety test, prompting to continue to ask the officer to turn off his camera.
