he Lampasas County Sheriff's Office released new dash cam and body cam video Wednesday of an arrest involving a deputy repeatedly punching a teenager in the face on May 25.

Deputy Logan Lones was placed on administrative leave after the incident, which was posted to Twitter by one of the passengers in the vehicle he stopped in the 100 block of East North Avenue in Lampasas, after dispatchers received a 911 call reporting a reckless driver in a vehicle matching the car's description.

After making the traffic stop, Jones said he smelled alcohol and marijuana and ordered the driver, 18-year-old Quinton Cruce, to exit the vehicle.

While attempting to arrest Cruce, video footage shows Jones punching him several times in the face. An arrest affidavit claims Cruce hit first -- something that was not immediately clear from the newly released footage.  Posted By PSmooth

A woman faces multiple charges after she threatened a deputy with a "visit from the KKK" during an arrest, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office. Upon arrival, a deputy made contact with the driver of a vehicle that had its headlights on reversing into the property. The deputy immediately detected the odor of alcohol coming from the driver, 53-year-old Julie Edwards. As the deputy attempted to file paperwork, Edwards told him that the "Ku Klux Klan would be seeing him and burning crosses on his property." Knoxville, Tennessee â€” The Knox County Sheriffâ€™s Office released body camera footage showing the moments a deputy was attacked by a dog then accidentally shot by her partner who intended to shoot the animal. On July 5, Knox County deputies were called to the 8200 block of Brickyard Road in Powell around 11:00 p.m. While outside, a pit bull came around the mobile home and began attacking Deputy Lydia Driver. 

Driverâ€™s partner, Jordan Hurst, tried to subdue the dog but inadvertently shot Deputy Lydia Driver in the leg. Deputy Driver was taken to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for emergency surgery. She recovered in the intensive care unit before being released on July 9. Hurst was put on administrative leave, as per procedure, a release stated. The dog that attacked Deputy Driver was taken into animal control custody and remains at Young-Williams Animal Center. The motorist told Deputy Nix that her 3-month old baby boy named Kingston was completely unresponsive and that she needed help. Deputy Nix turned his patrol car around and pulled off the side of the road to assist with the medical emergency. After performing several life-saving measures on the child and not seeing any improvement, Deputy Nix decided to put the child in his own patrol car and rush him to Ocala Regional Medical Center. VICTORVILLE, Calif. (KABC) -- A San Bernardino County sheriff's deputy narrowly escaped serious injuries during a deputy-involved shooting in Victorville, which was captured on dramatic video that shows the suspect aiming gunfire at the deputy as she tried to get away.

The shooting occurred just before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday in front of homes in the 13000 block of Cabazon Court, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Cellphone video shows the deputy in a physical altercation with the suspect. During the scuffle, two shots can be heard going off, then the deputy is seen getting off the ground and running away from the suspect.

The suspect also stands up armed with a gun, begins walking toward her, and fires at the deputy at least twice. It's unclear if the gun was taken from the deputy during the altercation or if he already had it.

"That's when a whole army of police came around the corner," said a man who witnessed the episode, "came into this cul-de-sac right here and opened fire on the suspect."

The suspect was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. The deputy was injured but was not shot; she is expected to be O.K.

According to a sheriff's spokeswoman Jodi Miller, a "very upset female" called 911 shortly before 8:30 a.m. and pleaded for help, asking authorities to remove her son from her home.

Neighbors said a female deputy arrived at the scene first and tried to arrest the suspect, but the confrontation turned violent.

After the suspect shot at the deputy, witness Fany Contreras said, he held the gun with both hands, extended his arms in front of his body and again pointed the firearm at her.

"She was so lucky," Contreras said. "She was lucky this time."

Meanwhile, there was a second deputy-involved shooting about 6 miles away near Heatherdale Road. Sheriff's officials said the two were unrelated. Posted by JR
