The sheriff's office says that nobody involved in the scuffle made a report of assault or any other crime. A "law enforcement liaison" with the group was told by TCSO that the group should go to a safe area to make a report, but nobody did.

Witnesses caught the fight on video, however, including our own crews. TCSO says: "after viewing video of the incident from multiple sources, including video taken by TCSO, we have opened an investigation into what happened during the incident. If appropriate, criminal charges will be brought to the local district attorney for consideration of prosecution, and if so, arrest warrants will be issued."

U.S. Capitol Police announced late Thursday that an officer hurt during this week's violent assault on the chambers of Congress by protesters loyal to President Trump has died from his injuries.
 
"At approximately 9:30 p.m. this evening (January 7, 2021), United States Capitol Police Officer Brian D. Sicknick passed away due to injuries sustained while on-duty," a statement from the U.S. Capitol Police said.
 
"Officer Sicknick was responding to the riots on Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol and was injured while physically engaging with protesters. He returned to his division office and collapsed."
 
The statement said that Sicknick had been taken to a local hospital and that his death will be investigated by the Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch, the U.S. Capitol Police and "our federal partners."
 
The confirmation follows an earlier, premature report that the officer had died, which NPR incorrectly reported based on information from a well-placed source. Posted By Ghost

Protestors brought part of the New York City subway system in Manhattan to a halt by venturing out onto the tracks as they expressed anger over Jordan Neely's death by chokehold by a US Marine earlier this week. 
 
Photos and videos show the protest group taking control of the Lexington Avenue and 63rd Street subway stop on the Upper East Side, bringing trains to a complete standstill.
 
Several individuals even went out onto the tracks close to the electrified third rail preventing train from entering or departing the station. 
 
Protestors marched from downtown all the way up to the Upper East Side before they went down into the subway system to stop the trains themselves.
