A woman has been arrested in the fatal shooting of her husband in Shreveport.
 
According to a media release, Shreveport police say they arrested 22-year-old Shraine Plater Tuesday for second-degree murder. Police responded to the 2900 block of Bolch Street on April 25 in connection to a shooting.
 
Officers found the victim, 28-year-old Nickolas Plater suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
 
Police say Shraine was detained on the scene. During the investigation, detectives collected evidence and obtained probable cause to show that Shraine was allegedly responsible for the murder of her husband, in contradiction to her initial claims
 
SPD investigators arrested Plater was arrested for her outstanding warrant and is booked in the Shreveport City Jail. Posted By Ghost

"Thank you Jesus!" the woman cried after officers tackled the suspect.

The Florida woman reportedly called 911 while pretending to order pizza as a call for help.

"This weekend, our 911 center got a call from a woman ordering a pizza close to 4 a.m.," said Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood.

"What the dispatcher quickly figured out was that the caller was really in danger."

Deputies were able to locate the call and tackled 27-year-old illegal immigrant Luis Diego Hernandez-Moncayo before he was able to r*pe the woman.

"He’s now sitting in jail, charged with attempted s*xual battery, battery by str*ngulation, and false imprisonment, with an immigration detainer from the U.S. Border Patrol," Chitwood said." - CollinRugg

A 16-year-old girl was shot and is behind bars after an incident at Northpark Mall in Ridgeland on Saturday, September 17. 
 
Ridgeland Police Chief Brian Myers said the shooting happened around 5:20 p.m. when Zaâ€™Lill Dâ€™Chelle Patterson, 16, of Jackson, tried to shoplift from a popcorn store inside the mall. She allegedly pulled a gun on the store owner, who Myers said shot Patterson in the leg in self defense. 
 
According to Myers, Patterson was taken to a local hospital before she was booked into the Madison County Detention Center on a charge of aggravated assault with a weapon. She will be charged as an adult. The store owner was interviewed and reportedly cooperative with police. 
 
â€œThis is not good. I will say that weâ€™ve never had something like this inside the mall. We donâ€™t want to see or allow it. We will take action,â€� said Myers. 
 
â€œHere they come, shooting. Pow! Pow! I heard eight or nine shots because Iâ€™m a manager up here. Customers came to the back, and we let them out because weâ€™re scared. Then, thatâ€™s when I saw it. The girl, she was laying right there. She was shot and hopped down there in front of our building. I was scared. I was scared,â€� said Jayce Alyse, a mall employee.

A Texas woman was literally gored by a bison at Caprock Canyons State Park & Trailway.
 
According to the woman, Rebecca Clark, she was just trying to pass the bison and be on her way. Unfortunately the bison felt threatened as she was too close. That's when the animal charged.
 
It's hard to tell where Rebecca was struck, but she did indeed live to tell the tale. The bison are protected by the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, but it's clear from this video that they can protect themselves just fine. Posted By Ghost

Houston police say they've identified the person whose skeletal human remains were discovered in a Houston-area backyard barbecue pit.
