Many people have wondered what it's like to experience a nuclear bomb. It is the most sadistic of fantasies, as we all know conceptually that we could never survive, but somehow it is hard to accept this fact. Barring a direct hit, even the most nasty of normal bombs could conceivably get dodged through bomb shelters or the right cover. But in a nuclear bomb, the very atoms around us are disintegrating themselves at a level we can't even see. The destruction is a confirmation of the breakdown of the very laws of basic physics we take for granted to exist in corporeal form.
 
But through VR we can come closer to imagining what the experience might be like. Granted, after a few seconds into the video our experience outside of VR would end, but watching the destruction inside of it lets us get all the way to the mushroom cloud. In what has already been dubbed the â€œbest anti-smoking advert ever,â€� a Chinese transplant surgeon has shared a video of his team removing a blackened pair of lungs from a failed organ donor.
Doctor Chen Jingyu, head surgeon of a transplant team, said the patient had died at just 52 years of age, after chain-smoking for 30 years.

The man wanted his organs donated, but the team quickly discovered that the blackened lungs were not remotely suitable for transplantation and that the lungs would not be of any use to a patient in need on the waiting list.
They had been heavily blackened due to decades of tobacco residue accumulation, and are far from the pink colour expected from healthy lungs.
The former heavy smokerâ€™s lungs showed all the signs of calcification, bullous lung disease and pulmonary emphysema, all tied to three decades of smoking.
