Poker professional Garrett â€˜Gmanâ€™ Adelstein has accused fellow player Robbi Jade Lew of cheating in what was a bizarre hand at a televised World Poker Tour event. Robbi has categorically denied the claims.
 
After weeks of cheating drama in the world of chess, it is now pokerâ€™s turn to have its own cheating controversy.
 
During a head-to-head hand, which is already being dubbed one of the most bizarre of all time, Garrett forced Robbi to go all in if she wanted to call, and inexplicably, she did. Garrett was then shocked when her cards were flipped, revealing a Jack high â€“ which won the hand.
 
Garrett had been aiming for a club, a 6 or a Jack on the river (the final card) in order to complete either a straight, a flush, or even a straight flush.
 
But, even with the river being run twice, he blanked on both, meaning Robbiâ€™s Jack high won the hand. This resulted in Garrett giving a â€œdeath stareâ€� to his opponent, perplexed that she had called so much money, with such a weak hand.
 
â€œI donâ€™t understand whatâ€™s happening right now,â€� Garrett said in the moments after the hand, as the chips were counted and moved to Robbiâ€™s stack. Robbi responded, â€œif my Jack wasnâ€™t a club, I would have been out,â€� which only confused Garrett further. Posted By Ghost

Lamar, the California rapper who had a public feud with Drake earlier this year, has been chosen to perform at the Super Bowl LIX halftime show in New Orleans this coming February. The selection has sparked criticism from several artists who believe New Orleans native Lil Wayne should have been the top choice.

Many have pointed fingers at Jay-Z, who advises the NFL on its entertainment choices, for overlooking Lil Wayne. DJ Akademiks, a popular podcaster and internet personality, voiced his frustration on X (formerly Twitter): "The Super Bowl in New Orleans, and they let Lamar perform over Lil Wayne... Jay-Z a legendary hater for that."

On a recent episode of his podcast, rapper Cam'ron hinted that a deeper issue might explain Lamar's selection. He suggested that a past conflict between Jay-Z and Lil Wayne could have influenced the decision: "Lil Wayne had a problem with somebody who’s part of the organization running [the Super Bowl]—this is payback. Who’s Lil Wayne’s artist? Drake,” Cam’ron said, alluding to the possible connection.

There is also speculation that Jay-Z’s long-standing feud with Birdman, Lil Wayne's mentor and the founder of Cash Money Records, might have played a role. The tension between Jay-Z and Birdman dates back to 2009 when Birdman publicly claimed that Lil Wayne was a better rapper than Jay-Z.

Although Jay-Z and Lil Wayne have traded barbs in the past, they appeared to have reconciled when Lil Wayne joined Jay-Z’s music platform, Tidal, as a co-owner in 2015. However, Jay-Z sold a majority stake in Tidal to Jack Dorsey’s Block in 2022, which may have complicated their relationship once again.

Adding to the controversy is Nicki Minaj, who shares a history of clashes with Jay-Z's camp. Earlier this year, during her feud with Megan Thee Stallion, Minaj criticized Desiree Perez, CEO of Roc Nation, the agency managing Megan.

"Keke Palmer is requesting sole custody of her 8-month-old son Leodis, whom she shares with Darius Jackson after alleging the child’s father has been physically abusive on multiple occasions. 

On Thursday, the Nope actress, 30, filed a request for a domestic violence restraining order in Los Angeles, according to documents reviewed by PEOPLE. 

In the California Superior Court filing, Palmer alleges that on Sunday, “Darius trespassed into my home without my knowledge or consent, threatened me, then physically attacked me — lunging for my neck, striking me, throwing me over the couch, and stealing my phone when I told him I was going to call the police.”

She also includes screenshots of what appears to be security footage of a man striking a woman over a sofa. Palmer alleges that Jackson, 30, has abused her multiple times over a 2-year period. In the declaration, Palmer alleges there were “many instances of physical violence, including striking and grabbing me around the neck, descriptions of Darius destroying my personal property, including diaries and prescription eyeglasses, throwing my belongings into the street, throwing my car keys to prevent me from driving away, hitting my in front of our son, spewing profanities about me to our son, threatening to kill himself with a gun if I left him, harassment, and other physical and emotional abuse.” Palmer’s filing states that on or around April 21, 2022, the former couple went out to eat at a restaurant in Santa Barbara when Jackson allegedly became upset after accusing Palmer of flirting with a woman, causing the parents to head back to their hotel early. “Darius grabbed my prescription eyeglasses away from me, threw them on the  ground and stomped on them. He then opened my bag, threw all of my belongings onto the pavement in the rain, and threw my car keys across the parking lot before he got into his own car and drove off,” the document reads." - People Posted by Thrillz
