A group of anglers who hooked a shark off the coast of Florida captured video of the moment a "monster" shark appeared and bit off the first shark's tail.

The video, recorded in a fishing boat off the coast of Miami, shows the group gathered to look at the big bull shark a member of the party hooked while fishing for tarpon.

The filmer said the group was reeling in the shark -- identified by the anglers as a "big bull shark" -- to take photos and set it loose, but the video shows a larger shark appear before they can pull the catch out of the water.

The second, "monster" shark swims up behind the first predator and bites its tail off, drawing other sharks to the area. Posted By PSmooth

A college student caught a 400-pound, eight foot long bull shark off the coast of Long Island Beach. TJ Minutillo, 21, who studies at Clemson University, captured the shark after using a net of sea robin at Nickerson Beach. He said he quickly released the shark back into the water after picturing it. A team of divers has had a close encounter with one of the biggest great white sharks on record - and lived to tell the tale.

Some of the divers came so close to the female shark in the waters off Hawaii that they were able to touch it.

The shark, nearly 20ft (6m) long and weighing an estimated 2.5 tonnes, is believed to be one tagged by researchers about 20 years ago called Deep Blue.

It was attracted to the area off Oahu's south shore by the carcass of a dead sperm whale.

The mutant creature was landed by Abdullah Nuren, 48, after he set off from Rote Ndao in East Nusa Tenggara, on Sunday February 21. He said he pulled in an adult shark and when cut open its stomach, there were three pups inside. One of them had a distinctive appearance with two large round eyes underneath its nose like the Baby Shark cartoon character.

On June 29, 2019, Florida scientists tagged a deep-sea shark from a submersible, a historic first on a research expedition led by OceanX, the Cape Eleuthera Institute and shark expert Dean Grubbs of Florida State University. At a depth of more than 1,700 feet off the coast of Eleuthera, the team encountered several bluntnose sixgill sharks, including this large female, about 16 feet long. Irish aviation officials are investigating after two airline pilots reported seeing unidentified flying objects off the southwest coast of Ireland last week, the Irish Examiner reports. A pilot of a British Airways flight contacted air control last Friday, November 9, asking if there were military scheduled in the airpace.
