Accused killer Keith Luke hatched an “evil plan of mass murder and rape,” targeting as many Jews, blacks and Hispanics for death as possible, a prosecutor alleged Thursday.
After his arrest Wednesday night on charges of killing two Cape Verdeans and wounding a third, the 22-year-old Brockton man told police had planned to go into a synagogue later that night as people played Bingo and kill as many Jews as possible.
“He indicated he was gong to kill people, hopefully ... until approximately 6:30 p.m. when he would enter a synagogue and kill Jewish people before shooting himself in the head,” Middleton said.

Luke is accused of raping and shooting a 22-year-old woman at a Clinton Street home, killing a woman who came to her aid, then shooting a homeless man to death as he fled the area.
He then led police on a chase, firing at cruisers, before crashing into cars in the northern part of the city.
Luke pleaded innocent Thursday to two counts of murder, three counts of armed assault to murder, aggravated rape, kidnapping, home invasion illegal possession of a firearm and illegal possession of ammunition.
He was ordered held without bail."
