"Super middleweight boxer Aidos Yerbossynuly is in a medically induced comment after being knocked out in a bout on Saturday. The medical procedure took place after the Kazakhstani boxer lost via 12th-round knockout by David Morrell during the Premier Boxing Champions event, which took place at The Armory in Minneapolis, Minn.

Yerbossynuly, 30, was taken to hospital for examination following the match. In a statement to the New York Post, a Premier Boxing Champions spokesperson said representatives of â€œTGB Promotions and PBC are on the ground in Minneapolis with Aidosâ€™ team and we are monitoring the situation closely.â€�

â€œOut of respect for his and his familyâ€™s privacy, we canâ€™t share any details but we ask the boxing community to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.â€�

Savoy told ESPN he wanted to stop the fight in the 9th or 10th round, saying he actually â€œhad the towel in my handâ€� to throw in.

â€œAidos wanted to continue. His head coach (Kanat Orakbaev) wanted him to continue. He evaluated Aidos and said nothing was wrong with him,â€� said Savoy. Yerbossynuly was knocked out in the 12th round following a straight left hand from Morrel." - TheProvince.com

Undefeated German boxer Musa Askan Yamak died after suffering a heart attack, according to a Turkish official. The Turkish-born German boxer, 38, was undefeated with a record of 8-0, including 8 KOs. Yamak was viewed coming out for the third round of the bout, but collapsed on the ground and fell unconscious before he could enter the ring. His opponent Ugandan veteran Hamza Wandera was declared the winner. German and international media reported how Yamak wanted to continue fighting but was knocked unconscious and couldnâ€™t be revived. The boxer was later pronounced dead in the hospital, with the reported cause of death being a myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. â€œWe lost our compatriot Musa Askan Yamak, a boxer from Alucra, who won European and Asian championships, at a young age after a heart attack,â€� Hasan Turan, a member of the National Assembly of Turkey, revealed on Twitter. Yamakâ€™s demise is the second boxing death in 2022 following the death of Armenian-born Russian boxer Arrest Sahakyan in January. Unified WBC, WBA and IBF World Champion Jermell Charlo picked up the WBO title with a dramatic 10th-round KO of Brian CastaÃ±o in a rematch of  their 2021 masterpiece to become the first ever undisputed male 154-pound champion in the four-belt era on Saturday, May 14 live on SHOWTIME from Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson. The bout, which was another Fight of the Year-type encounter, headlined a Premier Boxing Champions event before an announced crowd of 7,406.  
 
The end came when Charlo (35-1-1, 18 KOs) dropped CastaÃ±o with a short, left hook as he was fighting off the ropes with around a minute left in the 10th. CastaÃ±o (17-1-2, 12 KOs) rose on unsteady legs and was allowed to continue and Charlo jumped on him, landing a vicious left to the head and body that caused CastaÃ±o to collapse and referee Jerry Cantu to wave off the bout at 2:33 of the 10th.
