A South Carolina woman (Tammy Perreault ) died after she was impaled by a beach umbrella near Myrtle Beach. Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said the beach umbrella was carried by a gust of wind on Garden City beach. On January 1st, 2023, officers responded to a call regarding a reckless driver failing to maintain a single lane. Upon their arrival, they made contact with the suspect, Tammy Walther, better known by0 her adult-film name, Ainsley Adams.

Walther quickly admitted to officers her license had been suspended at the time of the interaction. She noticeably also was only wearing a top and her underwear during the traffic stop. Once officers asked whether she had additional clothing to put on, she instantly became agitated and acting erratically around officers.

After placer her under arrest, Walther became combative and refused to comply with the officers commands. This continued until she was placed in the restraint chair by jail staff.
