Undefeated German boxer Musa Askan Yamak died after suffering a heart attack, according to a Turkish official. The Turkish-born German boxer, 38, was undefeated with a record of 8-0, including 8 KOs. Yamak was viewed coming out for the third round of the bout, but collapsed on the ground and fell unconscious before he could enter the ring. His opponent Ugandan veteran Hamza Wandera was declared the winner. German and international media reported how Yamak wanted to continue fighting but was knocked unconscious and couldnâ€™t be revived. The boxer was later pronounced dead in the hospital, with the reported cause of death being a myocardial infarction, commonly known as a heart attack. â€œWe lost our compatriot Musa Askan Yamak, a boxer from Alucra, who won European and Asian championships, at a young age after a heart attack,â€� Hasan Turan, a member of the National Assembly of Turkey, revealed on Twitter. Yamakâ€™s demise is the second boxing death in 2022 following the death of Armenian-born Russian boxer Arrest Sahakyan in January. Just as a Coast Guard swimmer jumped into the icy waters off the Columbia River mouth in Oregon on Friday to rescue a man on a floundering motorboat, a set wave loomed. It was actually the Coastie’s first-ever rescue, and he was swimming toward a rescuee who had stolen the boat, and — just in case the situation wasn’t bizarre enough — who had placed a dead fish at the famed Goonies home in Astoria, Oregon.
 
Video from a Coast Guard helicopter shows the rescue swimmer approaching the boat as the man climbed over the transom and stood on the swim step, waiting. That’s when the wave began to rear, then broke in earnest, sending the motorboat tumbling like a puny toy.
 
Miraculously, both the rescue swimmer and the man were hoisted aloft by the helicopter and brought safely back to shore. Not long after, the man, who had been wanted by police — and who the Coast Guard didn’t know had stolen the boat — walked out of an Astoria hospital, scot-free. Posted By Ghost

"The US and Japan have advised people on their Pacific coastlines to get away from the shore as a precaution against tsunami waves caused by a volcano eruption in the South Pacific.

Japan has warned of waves as high as three metres, and waves of 1.2 metres hit the south of the country.

The US warned of strong currents and waves, and coastal flooding.

The huge underwater volcanic eruption caused waves of more than a metre to crash into Tonga.

The eruption of the Hunga Tonga-Hunga HaÊ»apai volcano was heard across the South Pacific, and eventually as far away as the US.

Many parts of Tonga, whose capital is just 65km (40 miles) south of the eruption, are covered in ash and are experiencing a near-total blackout of power, phone lines and internet services. The extent of any injuries or damage is still unclear." - BBC News

" A Georgia woman, Krystena Murray, is suing a fertility clinic after unknowingly carrying and giving birth to another couple’s baby.

Murray only discovered the heartbreaking mix-up at birth when she saw that the newborn had a completely different skin tone from her own.

“The birth of my child was supposed to be the happiest moment of my life—and, in a way, it was. But it was also the scariest,” Murray said. “All the love and joy I felt seeing him for the first time was immediately replaced by fear. How could this have happened?”

Hoping it was a simple sperm mix-up, Murray underwent DNA testing, but the results confirmed she had no biological connection to the baby. After five months, she made the difficult decision to relinquish custody to the child’s biological parents.
