Hands Up 4 Justice App [User Submitted]

The app, “Hands Up 4 Justice”:



• Allows users to record the police when pulled over (or otherwise) with the camera on the phone while the screen goes black

• Allows videos to be automatically uploaded to drop box, so police cannot destroy the device

• Sends a text message to an emergency contact alerting them that the app has been activated and they can go to drop box to see the video

• Saves the video every 2 minutes, but keeps recording

• Geo-tags each video with an exact location

• And finally, publicizes every protest and demonstration across the nation in one place



Other uses for the app:

• Getting proof of domestic violence situations, and simultaneously calling for help.

• Helping women send an SOS in a situation where they feel unsafe or intoxicated

• Stopping nursing home abuse
