It has been ranked as the least affordable housing market on Earth for eight years in a row, and the price per square foot seems to be only going up. The inflated prices are forcing Hongkongers to squeeze into unconventionally small spaces that can affect their quality of life. 
 
Tens of thousands of Hongkongers are living in spaces that range from 75 to 140 square feet. To put that in perspective, the average parking space in the US is about 150 square feet. And in the most extreme cases, Hongkongers have resorted to homes the size of a coffin. 
 
I spent some time exploring the living situation in Hong Kong to find out why housing has become so expensive and spaces so tight.

A recent report highlighted a rare case from 2010, in which a baby girl born in Hong Kong was found to be carrying twin fetuses. The study surrounding the birth has been chronicled in the Hong Kong Medical Journal. The roughly 9-pound infant was born with a condition known as fetus in fetu. Initially, doctors thought she had tumors in her abdomen, but soon discovered the two growths were actually a pair of fetuses, aged between 8 and ten weeks. Each was found to have a rib cage, spine, anus, an umbilical cord, brain matter, intestines and four limbs. The fetuses weighed less than an ounce combined. A specialist in obstetrics and gynecology stated, "Since it is impossible for the little girl to have conceived the pregnancy on her own, the fertilization of the twin fetuses, of course, belongs to her parents, which has gone to the wrong place." Medical experts aren't positive what exactly causes the condition, but they do know it's very rare with less than 200 cases reported around the world.

A man from Hong Kong has decided to spend the rest of his life with a sex doll.

Tse Tin Wing, 36, who lives with his parents, got engaged to his doll Mochi earlier this month in a small ceremony attended by friends and family, as he said that she is â€œeasier to dateâ€� than a real woman.

The Sun reported that Tse first learned that he was attracted to dolls about 10 years ago after spotting one at a store in Hong Kongâ€™s retail district and finally got his own doll in late 2019 after ordering one from mainland China. 

â€œA doll cost 80,000 yuan (RM50,160) at that time, so I had to dispel my thoughts as I could not afford her,â€� he said.

â€œBut in 2019, I found a silicone doll on the internet that was on sale and cost about 10,000 yuan (RM6,270) so I ordered it.â€�
