A  rocket burst into flames and crashed back down to the ground just seconds after taking off in Japan. The MOMO-2 rocket, developed by Japanese start-up company Interstellar Technologies, exploded and plummeted back down to earth just seconds after lift-off. year-old left that house with severe burns on 
several areas of his body.

"I got a call at 2:12 a.m. telling me there was a 
minor incident," said Whalen's mother, Trudy 
Smith.

she rushed to the friend's house to pick him up 
and take him home.
