On the day after the anniversary of Michael Brown’s death, several prominent African-American activists were arrested for blocking the entrance to a St. Louis courthouse as the city was placed in a state of emergency amid growing unrest. Hundreds of protesters in Ferguson and St. Louis have taken to the streets, chanting renewed calls for police reform and civil rights enforcement.
