The Hadza people, residing in Tanzania near Lake Eyasi, are one of the world's last surviving hunter-gatherer communities, and they have a unique-sounding language!
 
Their spoken language, known as Hadzane, is characterized by the use of click sounds, making it distinct from any other language in the world.
 
The language and culture of this community are in danger because of tourism and other languages that are more widely spoken, and if the traditional culture of the Hadza changes much more, their unique clicking language may eventually disappear altogether.

The mother said her son's last words on Earth were him crying out for Jesus.

7-year-old Micah was sitting on the roof of their home in Asheville, North Carolina when he and his grandparents were swept away by the raging flood.

"I'm so proud of my son because, in his last moments, he wasn't screaming for me. He was screaming, 'Jesus, Jesus, save me. Jesus. I hear you. Jesus. I'm calling upon you.'"

There was quite a scene on a freeway in Oregon Wednesday night after a man reportedly threw roughly $200,000 cash out of a speeding car. People are still combing the sides of the Interstate 5 freeway in Eugene, Oregon, Thursday, hoping to find more of the money, even though Oregon State Police has said it is all gone. Police said 38-year-old Colin Davis McCarthy drained his family's shared bank account and let it fly along the freeway. There was unfortunately little that they could do for the family because the account was shared. "Because it's shared, they both have equal interests in the money," Lt. Andrews said. With dozens of people walking on the side of the freeway looking for the cash, police said McCarthy could have been charged with a crime. The family said even though the odds are long, they're asking anyone who found any of the cash to please return it to Oregon State Police because that money is very much needed by the family. " A Middle Township Elementary School teacher in South Jersey is facing charges after she allegedly had a child with a student she's accused of sexually assaulting inside her home several years ago.
Laura Caron, 34, of Cape May Court House, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The alleged crimes happened between 2016 and 2020 at the suspect's home in Cape May Court House. Authorities say the victim was 13 years old and living with then-28-year-old Caron when their child was born in 2019. Laura Caron, 34, of Cape May Court House, was arrested on Wednesday on charges of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.
The case was brought to light when the victim's father made a social media post in December 2024 saying Caron's 5-year-old child looked very similar to him and his son, according to investigators.
Authorities say Caron taught the victim and his brother in the 5th grade.
Over the years, the parents of the victim said the family became friends with Caron, which ultimately led to them even allowing their boys and daughter to stay at Caron's home at times. The visits began one to two nights a week, but the children stayed with Caron permanently from 2016 to 2020, authorities revealed in court documents.
During her first appearance hearing, the judge identified Caron as a "resource family parent" for the children.
The victim's sister, who stayed at Caron's home at one point, allegedly told police she thought her brother was about 11 years old when he started sleeping with his teacher in the same bed. According to the criminal complaint, the sister revealed the children would sleep in a shared room on the second floor, but noticed her brother would be in Caron's bed the next morning.
