A video's circulating of the Boston Dynamics dog robot with a slight alteration: a fully automatic assault rifle perched on its back.

The clip, which started circulating widely on Twitter, was originally uploaded by the owner of a Russian hoverbike company, Alexander Atamanov. While originally many users started freaking out over the idea that Boston Dynamics had started developing an assault rifle-mounted version of their iconic dog robot, according to analysts it appears that the hybrid is nothing more than a DIY personal project by Atamanov using his own dog robot and a rifle he himself owns. Boston Dynamics, the company known for its robotic dogs, now has a humanoid robot capable of doing gymnastics.

The robotics company previously has shown how its robot dogs can go down stairs and open doors. Some police departments have begun using the robot dogs, typically called Spot, to help patrol. And Atlas, which the company dubbed "the world's most dynamic humanoid," showed in an earlier video how the robot can jog and jump over a log.

In a new video, Atlas now can do parkour â€“ a sport of moving through obstacles â€“ jumping and running along uneven platforms. Then, two humanoid robots do synchronized movements including turning, spinning and two flips, mirroring each other moves. Posted by Abdul

In January 2024, 17-year-old Ikea Imari Hood, a junior at Lancaster High School and member of the Tigerette Drill Team, was tragically shot and killed in her Southeast Oak Cliff home in Dallas, Texas. Just three weeks prior, she had given birth to a baby girl. Authorities arrested her on-again-off-again boyfriend, 17-year-old Trevon Darnell Wright, in connection with her death. 


According to the arrest affidavit, Hood had recently discovered that Wright was not the biological father of her newborn and intended to inform him on the day of the incident. Hood's mother reported hearing a loud noise from her daughter's room, and upon investigation, found Hood with a fatal gunshot wound and Wright absent from the scene. 


Following his arrest by the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Wright was charged with first-degree murder. In January 2025, after a trial that included emotional testimonies from Hood's family, Wright was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. This devastating event has left a profound impact on the Lancaster High School community and Hood's family, who are now caring for her infant daughter. | Posted by Thrillz
