DESCRIPTION
Tago Jones is back with his latest video and EP 'Tago Unchained'. The EP is based on the movie 'Django Unchained'. Apart from the theme-song, one of the highlights of the EP is without a doubt "I Like The Way U Die Boy" entitled ILTWUD, where in the song Tago commits suicide to find the slave-masters of the past, in order to avenge his ancestors, followed by him resurrecting himself back into modern times.
The EP opens with words from Nina Simone and closes with Eric Garner. The last three songs on the EP are interspersed with several pivotal and gripping clips/recordings of various Black figures such as Richard Pryor, that give the project depth and draws the listener in – and at times even confuses them. This is truly a project that deserves to be heard from beginning to end.
