FREEPORT, Texas – A couple walking along a Texas beach came across a sea of shock Friday morning after finding thousands of dead fish washed up along the shore.

“Was hoping to take advantage of the flat surf and catch a quick limit of speckled trout, but things didn’t go as planned, unfortunately!” said Darrell Schoppe, who shared a video of the fish on Facebook.

The fish came from the mouth of the Brazos River and were scattered for miles down the shoreline of Quintana Beach, near Freeport, Texas, according to Schoppe.

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department investigated the eerie scene, and their findings indicated a “low dissolved oxygen event,” they told KSAT on Saturday.

"A China Eastern Airlines jetliner carrying 132 people crashed in the mountains in southern China's Guangxi region on Monday afternoon, according to the country's Civil Aviation Administration (CAAC).
 
The Boeing 737 was en route from the southwestern city of Kunming to Guangzhou when it lost contact over the city of Wuzhou. On board were 123 passengers and nine crew members, CAAC said in a statement posted online.
China Eastern Airlines confirmed those details and said it had activated emergency procedures, including a line for emergency assistance for family members.
Rescue efforts are underway at the scene of the crash, but there were no immediate details on the possible cause or the number of casualties.

Dozens of sheep have been eerily walking around in a circle for 12 days straight in northern Chinaâ€™s Inner Mongolia region. 
 
The bizarre behavior, captured on surveillance video, shows the large flock continuously marching clockwise in a nearly perfect circle on a farm. 
 
Some other sheep can be seen watching from outside the rotation while others at times stand motionless in the center. 
 
Video of the strange scene was tweeted Wednesday by the Chinese state-run outlet Peopleâ€™s Daily, which reported the sheep are perfectly healthy and the cause of the behavior remains a mystery. 
 
The sheep owner, identified as Ms. Miao, claimed the spectacle began with a few sheep before the whole flock joined in, Metro reported. Although there are 34 sheep pens at the farm, only the sheep in one of the pens â€” number 13 â€” have been acting this way. 
 
Theyâ€™ve been on the move since Nov. 4. Itâ€™s unclear whether they stop to eat or drink. 
 
Some have speculated the sheepâ€™s behavior could be caused by a bacterial disease called Listeriosis â€” also known as â€œcircling disease.â€�
