A Louisiana state trooper was shot and killed by a motorist in a stalled vehicle he had stopped to help. On Sunday, Steven Vincent, 43, was shot in the head with a sawed-off shotgun, and he died of his injuries early Monday morning. Two passing motorists witnessed the shooting and pulled over to help, authorities said. They wrestled the suspect to the ground, taking the shotgun from him and using Vincent's handcuffs to detain him. They then used the police radio to call for help. Police identified the suspect as 54-year-old Kevin Daigle. Posted By Persist
